About Cave Dave APK
Cave Dave is an uncompromising action platformer where strategy and quick thinking are essential. Armed with a limited supply of ropes and bombs, your goal is to navigate three perilous caves in each system and retrieve Dave’s cherished handheld console while avoiding the numerous enemies lurking in the shadows.
The game offers a secret system for those brave enough to unlock it. The challenge is waiting; will you rise to the occasion?
Gameplay Overview
The gameplay in Cave Dave is refreshingly straightforward. You can move freely through each cave, dispatching or evading enemies using bombs, ropes, or a well-timed leap. Each cave begins with five bombs and five ropes, and it’s crucial to manage these resources wisely.
Enemy Profiles
Cave Dave features a diverse array of enemy types, each with its unique personality and behavior. Mastering the attack strategies for each enemy will prove invaluable in your quest.
Pickup Items
The game includes two distinct types of pickups:
Coins: These are more than just treasure; they will unlock additional portals later in the game.
Chests: Some caves contain hidden chests filled with extra bombs and ropes, which you’ll need to progress.
PSP: Collecting Dave’s beloved handheld console will complete each level.
Game Controls
The Dpad and A button are used for navigating menus. In-game controls feature the Dpad for movement, the A button for jumping, and the B button + UP or DOWN on the Dpad for firing a rope or dropping a bomb. The START button pauses the game and opens up the PAUSE MENU.
Pause Menu Options
Pressing the START button during gameplay will pause the action. You can then use the Dpad to select RESUME or SYSTEM SELECT and choose an option using the A button or exit the menu with the B button.

Running the Game
Cave Dave is available in two formats: a GBC file for the Game Boy Color and a POCKET version for the Analogue Pocket. The Game Boy Color ROM can be played using emulators like mGBA on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Ubuntu, or run on a flash cartridge such as the EverDrive.
