If you’re afraid of spiders, you might want to avoid this short horror game. Inspired by the self-contained sections of Resident Evil, Huntsman challenges you to explore a small office, gather key ingredients, and find a way to eliminate the terrifying arachnid.

Game Details

Huntsman is built using the Horror Engine, but it doesn’t support controllers. Due to its large file size, the download is external.

Recent Updates

The developers have been actively addressing player concerns. In a recent update (April 12), a bug where the player would get stuck in a web without triggering the spider was fixed. Additionally, issues where the spider wouldn’t attack the player when they were on top of each other were resolved.

Additional Fixes

Another update (March 27) improved the spider’s AI, preventing lab doors from continuously triggering. The lighting in certain rooms was also fixed, and the game’s FPS was enhanced.

Player Improvements

As of the update on March 24, the player now starts with a flashlight, making navigation through dark areas safer. Prior to this, minor bug fixes were implemented in an update on March 17.

Bug Fixes Continued

On February 25, a bug where the player could get stuck in the kitchen area after death was fixed. Previously, on February 5, issues where the spider wouldn’t attack when stuck in its web and where it got stuck walking into walls were addressed.
